Grilled Chicken is one of our favorite dinners. This marinade is amazing and so easy! Add your favorite sides, and you could have a quick dinner in 30 minutes!
My Favforite Marinade -Only 3 ingredients!
- Italian Salad Dressing- (Low Carb) – I always look at labels when I am picking out dressings. Some of them may surprise you with the amount of sugar they put in those! Make sure you get one that has zero or very little sugar.
- McCormick Himalayan Pink Salt with Black Pepper and Garlic All Purpose Seasoning – This is a favorite seasoning of mine. It is a must have in your seasoning drawer.
- Black Pepper
Chicken
You can use thighs or legs, or breasts, or whatever you like. I love chicken breasts, but sometimes they are pretty thick and do not cook evenly. I like to either butterfly the chicken breasts, or just take a kitchen mallet, or rolling pin and beat it until it is the same thickness evenly all around. This makes for quick and even cooking.
Directions
In a ziplock or bowl, pour about 1/4-1/2 cup of Italian dressing, 1tsp McCormick seasoning, and 1 tsp of pepper. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes. I sometimes start chicken marinating in the morning and let it sit in the fridge all day, until ready to cook. Heat your grill or grill pan to medium-high. Add Chicken and cook on each side 3-4 minutes until browned and juices run clear (Inside temp must be 165F)
Quick Grilling
I prefer to grill outside; however, some days the weather isn’t as cooperative. This grill pan does an amazing job evening cooking my chicken and leaving grill marks, which makes me think it was cooked outside! The grill also provides the ability for the juice to drip down instead of the chicken steam cooking in the pan.
SIDES
I served this with our favorite green beans and a salad. Although, I am sure my family would have loved some of my low-carb mac & Cheese.

Best Grilled Chicken
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs Chicken Breasts or Thighs
- ½ cup Italian Salad Dressing- No Sugar
- 1 Tsp McCormick Himalayan Pink Salt with Black Pepper and Garlic All Purpose Seasoning
- 1 Tsp Black Pepper
Instructions
- In a ziplock or bowl, add chicken, pour Italian dressing, 1tsp McCormick seasoning, and 1 tsp of pepper.
- Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat your grill or grill pan to medium-high.
- Add Chicken to Grill or Pan and cook on each side 3-4 minutes until browned and juices run clear (Inside temp must be 165F)
- Let sit for 3-5 minutes before cutting. This allows juices to remain in chicken and keeps it juicy.
- Serve with your favorite sides
