Who doesn’t love a quick prep and easy dinner that cooks all day? I love that I can quickly get dinner on the table for my family. Not only does it make the house smell amazing, but it is also easy and delicious. It is full of flavor, and it can be served by itself, over steamed cauliflower rice or regular rice (for those not staying low carb). It is also amazing leftovers.

- Beef Sirloin Steak- cut into 1or 2 inch pieces. I like to buy the already cut stew meat
- Yellow Onion
- Green Bell Pepper – Rough chopped (I like to throw this in the last 30-60min of cooking so that they still have a little crunch) If you want them to be fully soft, throw them in at the beginning.
- 15 oz Can Stewed Tomatoes
- Soy Sauce – Or Coconut Aminos
- Low Carb sweetener- I like to use this Lakanto brown sugar – This sweetener is a 1:1 replacement for sugar. You can use your sweetener of choice. Just make sure you adjust the quantity according to the sugar replacement as listed on the package.
- Salt – This Pink Salt is my ultimate favorite
- Garlic Powder
- Olive Oil or Avacado Oil
- Beef Bouillon- better than beef bouillon– I really have enjoyed this beef bouillon. The flavor is great! However, you can use your preference of beef bouillon cubes, powder, or just beef broth.
- Xanthan Gum – a little goes a long way! This stuff is great for low carb thickener replacement. If you do not have xanthan gum, you can use tsp of corn starch in its place.
What to Serve with your Garlic Pepper Steak?
This dish is honestly really good just by itself; however, if you feel like you want something to serve under your pepper steak and sauce, here are some good options. (Regular Rice- is something I will make for my husband and kids).
Low Carb Options:
- Steamed Cauliflower rice
- Hearts of Palm Rice
- I would recommend rinsing and sauteeing the rice in with some of your garlic pepper steak sauce. The hearts of palm rice has a distint flavor and by cooking it in a pan with some of your sauce, you can get the rice-like texture and the flavor of the garlic pepper will soak right it.
- Low Carb Cheddar Biscuits– I can make an excuse to make these anytime. They really are so good and so quick and easy to whip up.

Notes
Steak- I like to get the stew meat- so that the pieces of steak are already cut for me. But, you can cut it yourself. I have done it both ways, and I usually get the stew meat if it is on sale, put it in the freezer so that I have it handy for this specific dish.
Beef Broth- I really like the Better Than Bouillon Beef. The flavors are great! However, if you prefer, you can use regular beef bouillon or 8 oz of beef broth.
